Herki Vintage rug from Turkey. These carpets were woven by women from the Herki tribe between 1940 and 1980. Bright and vibrant colors make these rugs unique and their patterns are very different from other rugs. These rugs mainly contain red, orange, pink and blue/gray color tones. The quality of the wool is one of the best and is tightly woven to create a dense to medium pile carpet. The reason it is thick and wool is to keep it warm in winter.
